Kickstart your career with proper guidance.
Moving from student life to a full-time worker can be challenging, especially in this current job market. You may need ongoing support to ask questions, get honest feedback, and celebrate your successes as you navigate this journey. That’s why I created this 12-week free program for penultimate, final years, and early graduates, providing mentorship, tools, and strategies for job hunting and broader aspects of life.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE
What to expect during your 12-week mentorship journey.
The mentorship program provides dedicated support and guidance over 12 weeks, with weekly sessions lasting 45-60 minutes. We'll go beyond surface-level tips on how to write a resume or ace an interview to explore self-discovery, build confidence, and develop the essential skills to not just land your dream job but thrive in it.
Week 1 - Introduction & goal setting
Without clear goals and structure, you're just hoping things work out, and most people skip this step only to feel lost later. So, we'll get to know each other and explore what you truly want from your career (not what everyone else thinks you should wish to). We'll set realistic goals and create a roadmap that makes sense for YOU, along with sharing essential tools and resources.
Weeks 2 - Understanding your personality, needs & wants.
You can't build a career that truly fits if you don't know what "fits" even means for you. Many end up miserable in jobs that appear good on paper because they skipped this crucial self-discovery process. We'll figure out your personality type, what actually motivates you, your core values, and your desired lifestyle. We'll also cover salary expectations, budgeting basics, and understanding benefits packages so you're not caught off guard.
Week 3 - Choosing your career path
Most people limit themselves to careers they've heard of, missing perfect opportunities. Now that you know yourself, let's explore what's out there: different roles, industries, company cultures, team dynamics – startup chaos vs. corporate structure, big city vs. small town, and everything in between.
Week 4 - Crafting your resume, cover letter & elevator pitch
Your resume and cover letter only have seconds to impress, and if these don't clearly show why you're worth their time, you won't even get a chance to prove yourself. So, we'll brainstorm to turn your experiences into stories that matter to employers, make your resume ATS-friendly (because robots read them first), tailor everything to specific jobs, and create elevator pitches that don't sound robotic.
Week 5 - Strategies to search for a job
80% of jobs aren't even posted publicly, meaning you're missing most opportunities if you're only using job boards. We'll decode how job boards work, tap into the hidden job market, build relationships with recruiters, and organise your search so you're not just spraying applications and hoping for the best.
Week 6 - Building your professional portfolio (Optional)
Whether you think you have a "brand" or not, you do, and employers will google you. What they find will either support your application or make them question it, so it's better to control that narrative yourself. We'll make your brand intentional, exploring portfolio formats to showcase your best work and building a consistent, professional online presence.
Week 7 - Tricks & tips for interview preparation
Even the most qualified person can bomb an interview with poor preparation. We'll practice different types of interviews, work on your storytelling, and tackle salary negotiation because you deserve to be paid fairly for your work. You'll put your newfound skills into practice through realistic mock scenarios, including job applications, screening exercises, and interviews.
BREAK
Time to put everything into practice.
Week 8 - Preparing the 30-60-90 day plan for your new role
The first 90 days set the tone for your entire time at a company: get it right, and you'll be seen as someone with potential; get it wrong, and you'll spend months trying to recover. To prepare for that, we'll map out key relationships, master workplace communication, and set you up to succeed (not just survive) in your new role.
Week 9 - Networking & relationship building
Most career opportunities come through people you know; the stronger your network, the more doors open throughout your career. We'll cover informational interviews, finding mentors, and maintaining connections without being that person who only reaches out when they need something (trust me, I've learned that lesson the hard way!).
Week 10 - Assessing skill gaps and polishing presentation skills
The skills that got you your first job won't be enough for your second one, and continuous learning isn't just about advancement anymore; it's about survival. We'll focus on developing essential soft skills, such as resilience, empathy, confidence, and stress management. Building upon the self-discovery from Weeks 2-3, we'll focus on turning identified technical skill gaps into strengths. We'll create personalised learning plans and explore online learning platforms and resources to acquire specific skills relevant to your career goals.
Week 11 - Strategies to navigate career transitions
Life is unpredictable; anything can happen to affect your work - layoffs, getting fired, illness, family emergencies, or just realising you hate your job. We'll talk about how to handle these situations gracefully and maintain your professional reputation, even when things get messy.
Week 12 - Reflection, celebration, & a goodbye (for now).
Growth doesn't stop after 12 weeks. So, we'll look at how far you've come, celebrate your wins (seriously, this is important!), and create a plan for ongoing development to ensure you have the support you need as you continue building your career.

What my former mentees say about the program.
"Provided a well-rounded perspective on my career."
What truly set Mohana apart was her commitment to understanding not only my professional aspirations but also my broader lifestyle goals. Although my field of study is different from Mohana's, we still explored the implications of salary expectations and work-life balance, discussing a well-rounded perspective on my future career path.

"She is a dedicated mentor."
Mohana is a patient and motivating mentor. When I was not so confident in myself at the beginning, she encouraged me, assisted me in adjusting my resume, and finally got me a job! Many thanks and recommendations to Mohana. She is very dedicated and has a good experience in this area!

A mentor can make you.
Mentorship can be a transformative experience for mentors and mentees. In this episode, my mentee, Po-Yen, and I discuss our mentor-mentee journey with Lawrence Casey. We explore how we had to step out of our comfort zones, challenge assumptions, and grow in our respective roles.
