Problem identification & market analysis

I start by diving deep to discover the core problem your product solves by conducting

thorough primary and secondary research, which involves talking directly to potential customers through interviews and surveys (primary research) and analysing market data and trends (secondary research). I’ll be uncovering critical needs, pain points, market size, and growth potential within your target market, and I’ll analyse market dynamics to pinpoint viable opportunities.

Competitor assessment

It is crucial to understand your competitors, their market influence, product offerings, pricing strategies, strengths, and weaknesses. I identify your direct and indirect competitors, gather relevant data and develop a strategy that helps you differentiate your product effectively and identify opportunities to outperform the competition.

ICP & buyer persona development

Here, I’ll define and develop detailed Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) and buyer personas, encompassing everything from demographics and psychographics to motivations and behaviours. I also identify key roles within the buying process, such as decision-makers, influencers, and challengers, to ensure focused marketing and product development efforts.

Value proposition and USP development

Based on the research, I analyse your product's benefits and value to craft compelling value propositions and unique selling points (USPs). These statements clearly articulate why customers should choose your product over the competition. 

Concept testing & iteration

Using the value propositions and USPs as hypotheses, I’ll validate the product ideas using primary research methods like surveys, interviews, and focus groups. Based on the feedback we receive, I'll then iterate on your product idea and problem definition until we achieve strong validation. This helps avoid costly development mistakes and maximises ROI by ensuring problem-market fit before developing the MVP.
